Responsibilities - Custom Automotive Modification Technician:

 

Perform accessory installations including the following:

• Lift kits on Jeeps and Trucks
• Lighting installations as part of a kit or custom fabrication of electrical harnesses.
• Off-road steel bumper installations
• Wheel and tire installations up to 40” in size with mounting and balancing.
• Basic car audio installations including speaker installation and radio replacement.
• Towing and hauling accessories such as tow hitches with wiring and roof cargo management.
• Lowering kits and coil-over installations
• Lighting and calibration module installation.
• Side-step installation fixed and power styles.
• Provide an estimate of the time needed for repairs.
• Perform multi-point inspection and diagnose malfunction(s).
• Repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air-conditioning, etc., in accordance with dealership standards
• Test-drive vehicles before and after installations
• Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Learn new technical information and techniques in training sessions
• Adhere to company regulations and keep abreast of recalls and updates
• Report any damaged or defective equipment to management
• Report safety issues to management and ensure a clean working area

 

Qualifications/Requirements - Custom Automotive Modification Technician:

• 12V automotive electrical skills strongly preferred
• Mechanical/troubleshooting skills and the ability to operate electronic diagnostic  equipment
• Good work ethic and problem-solving skills
• Thrives in a fast-paced, team environment
• Motivated to learn new repair/service procedures
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• High school diploma or GED
