Key Responsibilities:
Source and secure qualified carriers, ensuring compliance with performance and safety criteria.
Prepare competitive rate quotations that align with profit objectives and negotiate rates with carriers.
Sell freight to carrier partners, book shipments, and enter all relevant data into the Transportation Management System (TMS) in accordance with company procedures.
Track and report accurate, real-time shipment statuses to customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers to enhance opportunities with current and potential clients.
Handle dispatch tasks and other responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
Stay informed about industry trends, including new product or service offerings, and evaluate their impact on the company.
Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree.
Prior experience in logistics or customer service is a plus but not required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in using computer applications (e.g., MS Office, Teams, GSuite) and capable of learning industry-specific software.
Ability to perform well under pressure, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
