About the Job

The HR Operations Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of HR systems, data, and processes. Reporting to the head of HR Operations, this position is responsible for maintaining data integrity, generating reports, optimizing workflows, and supporting the administration of key HR programs. The analyst serves as a key liaison between HR, IT, Payroll, and other business units, ensuring seamless and data-driven HR operations.

Responsibilities

HR Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain, audit, and ensure accuracy of employee data across HRIS and related platforms.
  • Partner with IT and HR teams to support system upgrades, data integrations, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot HR system issues and provide end-user support as needed.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Generate regular and ad-hoc HR reports and dashboards (e.g., headcount, turnover, DEI metrics).
  • Translate data into actionable insights to support business decisions and workforce planning.
  • Monitor and analyze HR trends to identify opportunities for process improvements.

Compensation & Job Architecture

  • Support job leveling, titling, and career pathing efforts through data analysis and structure alignment.
  • Assist in conducting external market benchmarking and compensation analysis using tools like salary surveys and market data providers.
  • Maintain internal job catalogs and coordinate alignment with external benchmarks and organizational changes.

Process Improvement & Compliance and Risk Mitigation

  • Document and optimize HR operational workflows, standard operating procedures, and user guides.
  • Support internal audits, compliance reporting, and policy adherence (e.g., I-9s, EEO reporting).
  • Assist in the implementation of HR projects, including policy rollouts, process automation, and change initiatives.
  • Assist with HR policy compliance and audit processes (e.g., I-9 audits, EEO, pay transparency).
  • Collaborate with Compliance, and HR partners to ensure adherence to federal, state, and company requirements.

Program Support

  • Support annual HR programs and cycles such as performance management, merit reviews, benefits enrollment, and employee lifecycle events (onboarding/offboarding).
  • Coordinate data collection and support communication for corporate initiatives, including surveys and compliance notices.
  • Collaborate on training and resource development for HR and business leaders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in HR operations, compensation, HRIS administration, or HR analytics.
  • Experience supporting HR compliance platforms such as NAVEX preferred.
  • Exposure to compensation benchmarking tools, job leveling frameworks, and salary survey data strongly desired.

Skills/Knowledge Requirements

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels, particularly with senior leaders.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas); familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • HRIS Knowledge: Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP) and the ability to troubleshoot, audit, and maintain system data.
  • Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and commitment to maintaining data integrity across systems and reports.
  • Process Improvement: Ability to document and enhance operational workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
  • Project Coordination: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and support cross-functional projects.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with HR, IT, Legal, Compliance, and other internal teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
